Andalusia currently has 7 wines protected by Designations of Origin and one flavored wine with Designation of Origin, made in five provinces. Among these are five of the first Denominations of Origin in Spain: "Condado de Huelva", "Jerez-Xérès-Sherry", "Manzanilla - Sanlúcar de Barrameda", "Málaga" and "Montilla - Moriles". Later, in the year 2000, the Designation of Origin "Sierras de Málaga" was recognized, which covers red, rosé and white wines. In 2018 the Denomination of Origin "Granada" was recognized. Likewise, in 2011, the Geographical Indication of flavored wine "Orange Wine from the County of Huelva" was recognized.

It also has a "Quality Wine" with a geographical indication "Lebrija". They are wines whose quality and characteristics are basically or exclusively due to a particular geographical environment, with the natural and human factors inherent to it. The grapes used in its elaboration come exclusively from that geographical area, within whose limits the elaboration must take place.

In Andalusia there are 16 recognized geographical indications with the right to the traditional mention Vinos de la Tierra, an intermediate level of quality protection between common table wines and those protected by Denominations of Origin. They are producing areas traditionally oriented to local markets and linked to family viticulture, in which new grape varieties have been introduced at the same time that wine farms have been modernized. Its wines have established themselves in the market in the group of medium quality wines, with an interesting value for money.

Almería Desert (Sierra de Alhamilla, Sierra de Cabrera and Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park), Laujar-Alpujarra (Sierra Nevada and Sierra de Gádor), North of Almería (municipalities of Chirivel, María, Vélez Blanco and Vélez Rubio) , Ribera del Andarax, Sierra de las Estancias and Filabres (Valle del Almanzora), Cádiz (Sierra de Cádiz), Córdoba (Province of Córdoba), Villaviciosa de Córdoba (Villaviciosa de Córdoba and Espiel), Altiplano de Sierra Nevada (Baza, Huéscar and Guadix), Cumbres del Guadalfeo (Sierra de la Contraviesa), Laderas del Genil (Valle del Lecrín, Vega, Costa and part of the Alhama region), Bailén, Sierra Sur de Jaén, Torreperogil, Los Palacios (Lower Guadalquivir region ) and Sierra Norte de Sevilla (Cazalla de la Sierra).

The Wine Routes that run through Andalusia perfectly unite the oenological, cultural, monumental and traditional attractions of the towns and areas that comprise them.

The Condado de Huelva Wine Route allows you to enjoy, in addition to the wineries attached to the route, the walled city and the Castle of Niebla, the "Columbian Places", a visit to the city of Moguer, birthplace of Nobel Prize winner Juan Ramón Jimenez; without forgetting the natural paradise of Doñana and its rich gastronomy, with products such as ham, prawns and strawberries from Huelva.

The Jerez Wine and Brandy Routes were certified in 2007 with the “Spain Wine Routes” Quality Mark. They trace a tour of the wineries, wine bars, hotels and restaurants, museums and entertainment companies in nine towns: the monumental Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Jerez de la Frontera, as well as Lebrija, Trebujena, Chipiona, Rota, El Puerto de Santa María, Puerto Real and Chiclana de la Frontera.

The Montilla-Moriles Wine Route runs through the towns of Aguilar de la Frontera, Córdoba, Fernán Núñez, La Rambla, Lucena, Montemayor, Montilla, Moriles and Puente Genil; and it has among other attractive wineries in the Sierra de Montilla surrounded by vineyards, where you can taste its wines at the foot of the jar.

On the Costa del Sol they have designed the Malaga wine routes that run through the Axarquia, Montes de Malaga, the North Region, the Serranía de Ronda and the Western Coast. They allow to know from the Roman site of Torrox or the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra to the Bodega Málaga Virgen, one of the few in which the Night Harvest is practiced.
